The searching for ways of cooperation between the USSR and Great Britain in the preparation for joint armed operation in Iran in August, 1941, as well as clarification of its feasibility for the others interested parties are examined in the article. When writing the article the author relied on Russian and foreign documentary sources, including the collection of the National Archives of Great Britain.
