“Revolutionary Temptation” of Modern Societies and Elites

The article substantiates the possibility of improving the methodology of studying modern (“color”) revolutions. It is argued that the methodology, based on the researchers’ ideas of politicaltechnologies nature of these revolutions and focused on their analysis through the prism of political technologies, obviously narrows the possibilities of political science in studying of this phenomenon.

Quality of Political Research: the Problem of Evaluation Criteria

The article analyzes the principal shortcomings of the approaches that the modern political science community is guided by in the examination and determination of the scientific quality of theoretical and applied research on political issues. Author examines contradictions in the content of the main criteria, on the basis of which the political science study is recognized by experts as scientific and corresponding to qualification requirements.
