The article describes some approaches to definition of the category «regional political regime», studied possible indicators of formal analysis and typology of regional regimes, the most relevant holistic and consistent model of such analysis, assessed monocentricity regional mode of the Saratov region.

Peculiarities of holding electoral campaigns on the single voting day (September 13, 2015) and main results of political parties of modern Russia are considered in the article, key tendencies in political forces’ ranking on the eve of State Duma election in 2015 are pinpointed, and prospects of oppositional parties’ participation in the election are evaluated

The article considers the main treatments of the role of institutions in political and economic life in present-day conditions, reveals the key institutional factors of interconnection of political and economic development in post-Soviet Russia. It draws a conclusion that ancestral flaws of the period of institutialization of market economy in post-Soviet Russia inevitably came out as defects of institutialization of political system.

The main interpretations of the «efficiency of the power» concept available in political science are described in this article, their strengths and weaknesses are revealed.

This article describes the basic functionality of the political interpretation of civil society institutions. The author proposes to divide them into three areas: economic, social and political. It is concluded that the model of «mutual responsibility partnership» affect the functionality of the institutions of civil society.

In article studies different types of post-Soviet Islam politics in two crucial Muslim republics: Dagestan and Tatarstan. The comparative analysis this Muslim areas reflects deep differences in nature of post-Soviet Islam renaissance as well as Islamic politization. The author argues that in modern Russia is rising «different Islams». This perspective open probability to clash between «different Islams»: local Tatars-countrymen communities and diasporal-Caucasian communities.

The article is about analysis of extrinsic and intrinsic problems, threats, and risks contemporary social and political systems are facing. The author is looking for the new world order model capable of neutralizing of the modern world controversies through providing comfort conditions for the life and development of contemporary societies.

The idea that today ideological values play accidental and instrumental role in the process of political elites’ recruitment is postulated in this article. The reason is that classic meta-ideologies (i.e. liberalism, conservatism, and social democracy) have lost preciseness of the borders of their positioning because of mutual value borrowing and formation of a so-called consensus value core.

The main methodological problems a mass media researcher usually faces are considered in this article. The author deems it possible to overcome them by using coders, preliminary articulating controversial issues, and taking into consideration existing principles of media outlets’ functioning.
