Human Capital Innovative Development Mechanism

Russian President Vladimir Putin set the task of making a scientific and technological breakthrough in various fields of economy, politics and education. This task can be solved only as a result of the formation and implementation of human capital innovative development effective mechanism. The study of the latter is an actual scientific problem. The purpose: the study of conceptual ideas that reveal the human capital innovative development mechanism; the refinement of this mechanism modern nature and structure in contemporary Russian society.

The Concept of Life Quality in Modern Sociological Theories

The article reviews life quality conceptual role of society state research. During the second half of the XX century “life quality” evolved from a vague, unformed scientific expression to a scientific concept, which was later included in many theories. For most of this period, the development of this category was considered mainly in Western science. In the USSR, the term “lifestyle” became very popular. A large number of investigations were devoted to the working class way of life, the work team, etc. Later “lifestyle” was replaced by the rejected concept of “life quality”.

Recruiting the Regional Political Elite: Evolution of the Stages, Forms and Career Strategies

The paper dwells on studying one of the most important processes defining the quality potential of the modern elite – recruiting elite groups. The political elite recruiting peculiarities defining this process, social factors and mechanisms are revealed. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the basic stages of the political elite recruiting at the regional level: Stage I – “quasi-free convergence” (1991–1993); Stage II – mutational (1994–2000); Stage III – “elite controlled recruiting” (2001–2011); Stage IV – mixed (hybrid) (2012 – present time).

The Peculiarities of Rural Women’s Reproductive Goals

The article, on the basis of on sociological questionnaire survey, studies the value structure of contemporary rural women. Health, family and children occupy the main place, while religion and entertainment are of the least importance. Personal behavior in the countryside depends on social surroundings to a great extent. Customs, habits, traditions, as older generations` perception elements, influence childbirth attitudes greatly. Children form the basis and important component of healthy and full-fledged family.

Model-Based Approach in the Sociological Analysis of Social and Value Everyday Practices Potential

The article presents a five-level model (algorithm) of the study of social and value everyday practices potential. The discursive frameworks of the research model formation are defined, research strategies are identified and characterized. The basic theoretical and methodological approaches to the research model formation are described. The research strategies at the analytical, instrumental-objective, modal, structural and procedural levels are worked out in detail. This algorithm application efficiency in contemporary sociological theory and practice is substantiated.

Social Policy Implementation at the Regional Level (The Study of Saratov Region)

The article examines the state and specifics of the implementation of social policy by studying Saratov region. Social policy, aiming mainly at ensuring well-being and all-round development of individuals and society, as a whole, presents itself as one of the key activity directions of both the state administration and local governments. This policy is implemented by state-made decisions, social events and programs.

The Concept “Nationalism” in the Sociological Discourse

The article is devoted to the problem of methodological reflection of the concept “nationalism” considered through the prism of “sociological sign” of Russian intellectual heritage. The subject is actualized by the care for national interests and dignity of modern Russia, by the creation of state projects, which are due to become national pride of the Russians “broadcasting” to the outer everyday world the concept “nationalism”, ambiguous for socio-cultural judgment.

Verbal Tactics of Persuasion in Contemporary Russian Electoral Discourse (The Study of the Presidential Campaign 2017–2018)

Mass media are quite frequently used to influence the audience in the contemporary world. That is why the necessity to create a credible mechanism against the undesirable linguistic manipulation causes the research works of this kind. Hence, the use of communicative strategies and speech tactics in discourses of various kinds is widely investigated nowadays. This research is aimed at investigating verbal tactics that are used by Russian politicians in the course of the electoral campaign at their meetings with potential voters.

Sociological Foundations for the Reflexy on Favorable Urban Environment in Youth Public Opinion

The article deals with modern urbanization process leading to the transformation not only of the socio-economic characteristics of the territorial community, but also changing the population’s perception of life quality in urban environment. A public opinion poll conducted among the youth of the city of Saratov revealed the main tendencies in urban policy, namely: the city should provide such an environment in which people will want to live. The paper identifies the main factors that, in the opinion of the respondents, make the urban environment favorable.

“Living Conditions” as a Factor of Ecological Responsibility Actualization

The article gives a brief description of the programs dedicated to the year of ecology in Russia. The results of the research of the Russian Society of Sociologists are presented. The comparative analysis of two studies: all-Russian and regional ones is carried out. The groups from each study were selected by their interest in environmental issues. The presence/absence of connection of ecological responsibility with living conditions and personal characteristics was analyzed.
