Political and economic risks of energy security in the global world (On the example of Russia)

The article discusses the energy security of the Russian Federation in the context of aspects of national security. The transnational level of energy security is investigated, where global risks are taken into account. Attention is drawn to the unfriendly actions of actors who are unfriendly to the Russian Federation (on the example of the construction of the Nord Stream). Moreover, the blocking of certain sections of the Nord Stream is no longer correlated with economic expediency, the prevention of Moscow’s hegemony in the energy sector by the EU.

Ideological preferences of youth as a factor of perceptions of the desired future of Russia

The article considers results of a representative social survey (N = 2021) and focus groups conducted in November 2022 on the issues of value motivation of young people’s attitude to the main directions of state policy in modern Russia. Based on the analysis of the received materials, the structure of the ideological preferences of various age groups of Russian youth, their influence on the perception of the current state of the main directions of domestic and foreign policy and ideas about the desired future of political and socio-economic development of Russia was revealed.

Scientifi c view on the values of modern Russian youth: Why has not a complete picture been formed yet?

The publication presents the author’s explanation of the reason why the picture of the value political orientations of young people, created by the eff orts of many domestic researchers, does not look holistic and convincing enough to be used as an indisputable argument when choosing directions and methods for implementing state youth policy. The problem is not that diff erent researchers build a hierarchy of values in diff erent ways, to which the minds of young people are oriented.

On the issue of political image leader networkization: The results of an empirical analysis

The networkization of the modern fi eld of public policy is studied in the paper. With the help of the information society theory and the image-role construct concept, the content of the image of the regional leader - the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region G.S. Nikitin is analyzed in the research. A qualitative-quantitative type of content analysis was chosen as the main empirical method of research, and the information array of data was made up of news reports from the Website of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Government.

The attitude of Russian youth to the Special Military Operation: The role of media support of state policy

The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of media support for the actions of the Russian authorities in shaping the attitude of young people to the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine. The results of sociological surveys are analyzed regarding the level of interest and concern of young people about what is happening within the framework of the SMO, as well as their approval of the course towards a forceful solution to the conflict and the most preferable prospects for the further development of the situation.

Peculiarities of perception of the main directions of Russian state policy by regional youth

The article discusses features of perception of the main directions of Russian state policy by regional youth based on the results of a sociological survey and focus groups conducted at the end of 2021 in the Saratov region. Based on the analysis of the received materials, the degree of interest of various age groups of young people in politics was revealed, and the specifics of the perception of the economic, social, cultural, youth, and defense policy of the Russian state were pinpointed.

Risks of formation and opportunities for monitoring the commitment of Russian young citizens to the traditional values of Russian society

The challenges that domestic and foreign policy of the Russian state is facing today make it urgent to find the means by which it would be possible to direct the civic education of Russian youth, in general, and to instill in them respect for the traditional values of Russian statehood and public life, in particular, in a constructive way.

Theoretical and methodological foundations of policy analysis in the sphere of artifi cial intelligence

The article is devoted to the theory and methodology of analysis of the process of formation and implementation of policy in the sphere of artifi cial intelligence, taking into account world experience and Belarusian political and legal realities. The explicative potential of the fi ve-phase model of the political and administrative cycle is shown as a methodological prerequisite for the analysis of policy in the sphere of artifi cial intelligence in the context of digital transformation.

The impact of China’s “soft power” policy in the Asia-Pacifi c region

The article deals with topical issues of the implementation of China’s “soft power” policy in the Asia-Pacifi c region. The growing infl uence of China’s public diplomacy is demonstrated by the example of state programs of technological and economic development integrating tools of interaction with the governments of the Asia-Pacifi c states. The conclusion is made about the growing infl uence of China’s promotional policy to strengthen its diplomatic positions in the Asia-Pacifi c region in overcoming the negative consequences of the crisis associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Post-Soviet Caspian as a geopolitical unit. Problems of description and contours of a new research paradigm

The purpose of this work is to explore the ways of perception and analysis of geopolitical processes in the Caspian area. At the centre of the analysis is the nature of the intellectual eff orts behind knowledge production and representation of the Caspian. This brings our study to the problem of geopolitical positioning of this mesoregion with the prospect of putting forward a new cognitive perspective.
