Political and Administrative Elites: Genesis, Problems of Current Development

Based on the results of panel expert surveys conducted on the eve of the First (2013) and Second (2016) All-Russian Elitological Congresses, the authors analyze the role and importance of contemporary Russian regional elites. Experts’ predisposition to the Russian elites is shown, dynamics of elites’ quality transformation is evaluated, and steps to conduce inter-elite interaction and development of leadership are pinpointed. Tendencies of the modern regional elites’ existence are named, general conclusions are formulated.

Peter Struve: “On the Way to Good Sense…” (Ideological and Political Struggle on Pages of the Emigre Press of the 20–30th Years of the XX Century)

In article the public and political position of one of acknowledged leaders of the Russian emigration of the first wave, Peter Struve, is analyzed. Various parties of political process, the ideological antagonism of the competing “centers of force” of the Russian emigration, one of which personified to P. B. Struve, are considered. Separate aspects of ideological and political fights and their reflection on pages of popular emigrant’s editions of a different orientation are researched.

Social Concept “Patriotism” in the Russian Social Thought

In article interpretations of a social concept “patriotism” in russian socio-philosophical, socio-political literature and fiction which are concentrated on search and extraction of the basic factor forming patriotic attitude of the personality, social group, society in general are considered. Special attention is paid to modern view to traditional for the Russian social thought understanding of patriotism.

The Mythological and the Factual within the Technology of Patriotic Upbringing

Article analyzes tendency of the return of post-Soviet mass consciousness to the idea of patriotic education of citizens as a technology that provides a pre-planned result. An explanation is offeredof the reasonswhy attempts by state and public institutions to follow this idea in their public activities often lead to an unplanned result, to the spread of nationalistic sentiments in civil society.

Confucianism’s Impact on Peculiarities of Establishing and Developing of the Civil Society’s Analogous Form in the Countries of the Asia-Pacific Region

The present article is concerned with the influence of Confucian political tradition on peculiarities of establishing and development of the civil society’s analogous form in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The author shows that Confucian norms lying at the heart of the Asian values laid down the foundation for social and interpersonal interactions and specifics of state-authority relations, defined the bases of political culture and gained the state ideology status. This region’s model of civil society, its features and variations from the Western «ideal» are analyzed.

The Strategy of Studies of Integration/Disintegration Potential of Islamic Factor of Modern World Policy

This article studies a different approaches and theoretical frameworks within which they clarify politization of Islam in the modern world. The authors argues non-efficiency of attempts to search of roots of the political reasonability and especially radicalization of modern Islam in the act of Islamic creation. In opposite to this simplifying position, this paper suggests politcal analysis both integration and disintegration potentials of Islam.

The Russian National Idea: the Problems of Specification and Formalization in the State Status

In article are considered the main problems in formulation the «national ideas» in the states, including, and in the Russia. On basis of analysis the available representations about mission of «national ideas» in the states, the author of article is given the developed concept about the purposes, tasks and functions of «national ideas» of the states; offered to formalize the «national ideas» of states in the corresponding official «codes».

Network Mechanism for the Formation of Social and Political Identity of Modern Youth

In this article the author substantiates and characterize the effect of new network mechanisms of formation of identities that arise in the context of the societal transformation of modern society. The author shows that the network mechanisms of identity formation are beginning to work in the «digital generation» and represent a set of interrelated and interdependent practices in the global information and communication space, contributing to the individual and collective identity, internalization and reflection.

Meanings and Paradoxes Patriotic Discourse in Modern Russia: Political and Philosophical Foreshortening

The article shows a profound and comprehensive dialectical relationship of politics and patriotism. The analysis of the content of patriotic discourse in modern Russia, revealed the contradictions and tendencies of further development. It substantiates inconsistency of the theoretical and methodological receptions, liberal interpretation of patriotism, representing, in fact, pseudo-patriotism.

Public Sphere of Information Society: Development of the Electronic State
